I was lucky enough to be in Sydney this weekend and managed a trip to the Newtown Fresh Food Markets. It's so heartening to see so much fresh and organic produce so widely available to the public.
I saw Kylie Kwong slaving away on her Billy Kwong market stall making Asian pancakes filled with tasty fresh produce
Found some of my favourite greens - kale - at the organic stall. Lovely deep purple, fresh and crinkly.....
There was organic beef and chickens and ducks for sale and we discovered some wonderful Columbian coffee freshly ground. We bought fresh ham and olives and organic baby tomatoes along with some beautiful organic dairy cheese and goat cheese for lunch.
We then managed to sneak in an hour at the The Rocks Markets which was overflowing with green people drinking green beer (lots of it) and doing green things. It was, after all, St Paddy's Day!
